Gauge alternative: Serpier and Gauge compared
Serpier makes this page. Every fact about Gauge comes from Gauge's own website, and the facts on this page were last checked on . Sources are listed at the end.
Serpier and Gauge both track how AI assistants such as ChatGPT mention and describe a brand. Gauge's agent carries out recommended actions and writes articles. Serpier's AI agent Navi suggests fixes and drafts pages, and Serpier also sells placements on third-party media, so you can track AI visibility and order publications in one account.
Stay with Gauge if you want prompts run every day on a fixed set of assistants, or if your site runs on Webflow, Framer or Sanity. Pick Serpier if you want unlimited users and countries, data hosted in the EU, and placements on other websites next to your tracking.
As of 28 October 2026, Gauge Growth costs $599 (€535.40) a month, and Gauge Enterprise has custom pricing. Serpier Starter costs €199 a month billed monthly, and Serpier Growth costs €599 a month.
Where Serpier is better
Tracking shows where you stand. Serpier also suggests what to do next, and does it once you approve.
- Navi, Serpier's AI agent, reads your website, SEO performance, AI visibility and link monitoring, and suggests what to do next, each with why it is there: for example ordering a placement from a shortlist of publishers to work on a keyword sitting just off page one, or fixing robots.txt, llms.txt, the sitemap or meta tags.
- You click Hand over to Navi or I'll do it myself.
- Navi does the work, and you approve before anything is bought or changed. As your rankings, AI visibility and links change, new suggestions keep coming.
Gauge also describes a task board with an AI agent on its own pages. Serpier's agent can also order placements on media, with your approval, and Serpier's Publication Tracker checks the links afterwards.
- Serpier tracks AI visibility and sells placements in one account. Serpier Starter, Serpier Growth and Serpier Enterprise track whether AI assistants mention your brand. Serpier sells ai publication: an article with no links or only nofollow links, for brand mentions that ai assistants pick up. Serpier lists 200,000 media agreements.
- Serpier has no user limit. Serpier states unlimited users, and Gauge Growth states 3 seats.
- Serpier Starter covers more countries than Gauge Growth. Serpier Starter covers unlimited countries, all languages, and Gauge Growth covers one location.
- Serpier hosts its data in the EU, and Gauge states United States as its data location. Serpier states: Hosted in the EU. Serpier bills in EUR, prices exclude VAT.
- Serpier also checks that the links you placed stay live, indexed and unchanged. Gauge does not state whether it checks links after they go live.
Where Gauge is better
- Gauge Growth runs prompts more often than Serpier Starter. Gauge Growth tracks 600 prompts, and Gauge runs them daily. Serpier Starter tracks 100 prompts and runs them weekly. Serpier Growth tracks 500 prompts with a custom run frequency.
- Gauge states how it collects answers: Both. Serpier does not state how answers are collected. If you need to know whether answers come from the assistant's own app or from its API, Gauge gives that answer and Serpier does not.
- Gauge tracks more brands on its entry plan. Gauge states unlimited domains and competitors. Serpier Starter covers 2 projects, and Serpier Growth covers 5 projects.
- Gauge publishes to a different set of content systems. Gauge connects to Yes: Webflow, Framer, Sanity and GitHub. Serpier connects to Yes, to a connected WordPress, Shopify, Magento or Umbraco site. Check which of these your site runs on.

Method and what each row means
We read each company's own website: its pricing page, docs, help center, terms and announcements. Review sites, directories and articles about a company are never a source. Every value links to its source, with the date we checked it. Serpier's facts follow the same rule and come from Serpier's own website.
Prices are per month and exclude VAT, in the currency the company publishes. A price in another currency is also shown in EUR, at the ECB reference rate of 26 October 2026. Some companies show other prices or currencies depending on where the visitor is, so the page says which visitor the prices were shown to.
The shared units use one plan for each company: the entry plan we name for it, shown in its box above. If we name none, we use the cheapest plan with a published price above zero that tracks prompts. Only plans sold by the month count, at the monthly billing price when there is one. When the entry plan is an add-on, its price includes the plan it needs, because an add-on cannot be bought alone. Price per tracked prompt a month is the price ÷ prompts. Price per 1,000 AI answers a month is the price ÷ (prompts × assistants × runs a month) × 1,000, where a daily run counts as 30 runs a month and a weekly run as 4.33. When an input is not published, the page says Not enough public data instead of guessing.
Each value in the table is one of these, or the number or words the company uses:
- Yes:
- the company's own pages say the product has it.
- No:
- the company's own pages say it is not offered, or a complete plan table leaves it out.
- Partly:
- offered with a limit, written next to the value.
- Not stated:
- we could not find it on the company's own pages. It does not mean No.
- Not public:
- the company does not publish it, for example a price behind Contact sales.
What each row means
- What it does:
- What the product does in one sentence, based on the company's own website.
- Prompts tracked:
- How many prompts (the questions asked in AI assistants) a plan tracks, counted the way the vendor counts them.
- AI assistants tracked:
- Which AI assistants a plan asks, named one by one, such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini or Perplexity, with the price of any assistant sold as an add-on.
- How often prompts run:
- How often a plan asks each prompt again: daily, weekly, monthly or on a schedule you set.
- Brands or projects:
- How many brands or projects a plan covers.
- Users:
- How many people can log in on a plan.
- What it measures:
- Which of these the product reports: mention rate, share of voice, position in the answer, sentiment and the sources AI cites.
- Competitor benchmarks:
- Whether you can compare your brand with competitors you name.
- What it does beyond measuring:
- What the product does after it measures, as the vendor describes it, such as recommendations, content, outreach or agents.
- Order publications in the product:
- Whether you can order an article, mention or link on another company's website from inside the product.
- Publishes to your own website:
- Whether the product can publish content it writes straight to your own website or CMS. This is not the same as a placement on another company's website.
- Integrations:
- The integrations the vendor names, such as Google Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio or Slack.
- API:
- Whether there is a public API, and on which plan.
- MCP server:
- Whether there is an MCP server, which lets AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT read from or act in the product, and on which plan.
- Free plan or trial:
- Whether there is a free plan or a trial, what it covers, how long it lasts and whether it needs a card.
- SEO performance tracking:
- Whether the product tracks your own website in search: rankings, clicks, or keywords close to page one.
- Checks links after they go live:
- Whether the product checks links or articles you placed on other websites after they go live: still online, indexed and unchanged.
- Task board and AI agent:
- Whether you can track the work in the product and hand tasks to an AI agent that does them, with your approval.
- Scheduled automations:
- Whether the product can run a task or report on a schedule you set, such as a weekly summary.
- How answers are collected:
- Whether answers come from the assistant's own app as a user sees it with live search, from the model's API, or from both.
- Countries and languages:
- Whether you can choose the country and the language a prompt is asked from, and how many you can choose.
- Data export:
- Whether you can export your data, for example as a CSV file, and on which plan.
