Wellows alternative: Serpier and Wellows compared
Serpier makes this page. Every fact about Wellows comes from Wellows' own website, and the facts on this page were last checked on . Sources are listed at the end.
Serpier and Wellows both track how AI assistants such as ChatGPT mention a brand. Wellows prices its plans by the number of AI answers a month. Wellows also sells managed-services retainers, where its own team places links and mentions.
Pick Serpier if you want to choose the sites for your placements yourself in a marketplace, with AI visibility tracking in the same account, or data hosted in the EU. Stay with Wellows if you want a low entry price, unlimited projects and users, or a team that does the work for you.
As of 28 October 2026, Wellows Basic costs $29 a month (€25.92), billed monthly. Serpier Starter costs €199 a month billed monthly or €169 a month billed yearly.
Where Serpier is better
Tracking shows where you stand. Serpier also suggests what to do next, and does it once you approve.
- Navi, Serpier's AI agent, reads your website, SEO performance, AI visibility and link monitoring, and suggests what to do next, each with why it is there: for example ordering a placement from a shortlist of publishers to work on a keyword sitting just off page one, or fixing robots.txt, llms.txt, the sitemap or meta tags.
- You click Hand over to Navi or I'll do it myself.
- Navi does the work, and you approve before anything is bought or changed. As your rankings, AI visibility and links change, new suggestions keep coming.
Wellows' own pages describe part of this; see Task board and AI agent in the table, with its source.
- Serpier sells placements that you order yourself. You pick sites in the Serpier Marketplace, which offers 200,000 media agreements, and you can order on every Serpier plan, including the free Serpier Light plan. Wellows says: "No ordering in the product. Outreach gives researched contacts and drafted messages for you to send. Wellows' own team places links and mentions only inside the managed-services retainers." Wellows does not state publishers.
- Serpier says its homepage placements last 12 months and checks placements after publishing. Wellows does not state a link guarantee, and does not state checks after publishing.
- Serpier says its data is hosted in the eu, and Serpier prices are in euros and exclude VAT. Wellows says this about data: "Hosting location and a data processing agreement are not stated. Personal data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses." Serpier does not state whether customers can sign a data processing agreement. Wellows says: "Billed monthly by card. No annual billing is offered."
- Serpier can publish to a connected WordPress, Shopify, Magento or Umbraco site. Wellows says: "Partly. The WordPress plugin sends content to WordPress as a draft only. It never publishes; you review and publish."
- Serpier also runs scheduled automations, such as a weekly summary. Wellows' own pages say it does not offer scheduled automations.
Where Wellows is better
- Wellows Basic costs $29 a month and gives 1,800 AI answers a month. Wellows says: "Unlimited projects on every plan. A project is one brand, site, region or client." Wellows also says: "Unlimited users on every plan, with no per-seat charge." Serpier Starter costs €199 a month and tracks up to 100 prompts in ChatGPT plus 2 of your choice.
- Wellows tracks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Gemini on every plan. Serpier Starter tracks ChatGPT plus 2 of your choice, and Serpier's pricing page does not name Google AI Mode.
- Wellows says: "Daily or weekly, set per project. Weekly is available once the paid plan is active, not during the trial. Not real time." Serpier Starter runs prompts weekly, and Serpier Growth lets you set a custom frequency.
- Wellows has a managed-services option. Wellows Managed Services: Foundation costs $3,500 a month, and the work is run by the Wellows team. Serpier sells the placements and lets the buyer pick the sites.
- Wellows says: "Yes. A read-only reporting API for visibility, tracking, responses, outreach, content and history data." Wellows also says: "Yes. Most tables can be exported, and Performance History exports to Excel, CSV and Markdown." Serpier lists data export as "Partly", and the Serpier API comes with Serpier Enterprise. Serpier does not state how answers are collected, and Wellows says: "Through each assistant's public web interface, logged out, with web search on, instead of through vendor APIs."

Every fact, row by row
Every feature, limit and term we compared, with the source for each value. Serpier on the left, Wellows on the right.
| What we compare | Serpier | Wellows |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Serpier is an AI-powered SEO and AI visibility platform. It combines SEO intelligence, prompt strategy, performance monitoring, and automated execution in one system, so you can rank on Google and get cited by AI.[1] | Wellows helps agencies and brands track where they appear (and don't appear) across AI platforms, find the content and citation gaps, and close them fast.[2] |
| AI visibility | ||
| Prompts tracked |
| |
| AI assistants tracked | 5 on every plan: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Gemini. Wellows says it does not track Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen or Mistral.[5]Some older Wellows pages still name Claude or DeepSeek. Wellows says in its llms.txt that those pages are out of date. No assistant is sold as an add-on. | |
| How often prompts run | Daily or weekly, set per project. Weekly is available once the paid plan is active, not during the trial. Not real time.[5]Weekly runs use about a seventh of the answers of daily runs. | |
| Brands or projects | Unlimited projects on every plan. A project is one brand, site, region or client.[4]During the 7-day trial one project is allowed. | |
| Users | Unlimited[3]On every plan. | Unlimited users on every plan, with no per-seat charge.[5] |
| What it measures | Visibility score, share of voice, rank, sentiment and cited sources[6]A higher place in an answer raises the visibility score. Sentiment is grouped by theme, and cited sources show how often AI cites your own domain. On Starter, Growth and Enterprise. | Citation share (the headline score), brand mentions, share of voice, the brand's rank among tracked brands, sentiment of cited pages and the sources AI cites. No position inside the answer.[5]The headline score is the brand's share of all citations recorded for its prompts, not mention rate. Mentions are recorded separately. Sentiment reflects how the cited source talks about the brand, not the AI assistant's opinion. |
| Competitor benchmarks | Yes[7]Compare your trend with the brands you add, and pin one to the charts. On Starter, Growth and Enterprise. | Yes. Competitors are tracked on the same prompts, and up to 7 can be picked during project setup.[5]Competitors are set per country. Wellows says competitor tracking works the same on every plan. |
| What it does beyond measuring | Navi, an AI agent, suggests what to fix, drafts pages and articles, runs scheduled automations, orders placements and drafts emails to publishers[7]Navi acts only after you approve. Serpier's team sends the emails to publishers. Navi's work uses credits. | Ranked quick wins and a list of missing pages with suggested titles, a writing agent (KIVA) that drafts pages, content optimisation (beta), and outreach lists of pages AI already trusts with contacts and drafted messages. A person reviews and acts on all of it.[4]Wellows says it is not an autonomous agent: it produces recommendations, drafts and outreach targets that a person acts on. |
| Order publications in the product | Yes[8]Choose sites in the Marketplace, add them to the cart and pay by card or invoice. Types: SEO Publication (dofollow link), AI Publication (no links or nofollow links) and Homepage. On every plan, including the free Light plan. | No ordering in the product. Outreach gives researched contacts and drafted messages for you to send. Wellows' own team places links and mentions only inside the managed-services retainers.[9]Wellows says it does not buy links from networks. |
| Publishes to your own website | Yes, to a connected WordPress, Shopify, Magento or Umbraco site[10]Navi publishes fixes and pages after you approve them. | Partly. The WordPress plugin sends content to WordPress as a draft only. It never publishes; you review and publish.[5] |
| Integrations | Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, Umbraco, DynamicWeb, HubSpot, Piwik PRO, Mixpanel, Slack, Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, plus more than 1,500 other apps[11] | Google Search Console and a WordPress plugin, both on every plan. A read-only API feeds tools such as Looker Studio, Databox and Whatagraph. No connection to Google Analytics, Slack or scheduled email reports.[4]Wellows says it does not currently connect to Google Analytics, Slack or scheduled email reports. |
| API | Enterprise only[12]The documented endpoints cover Marketplace search and publisher deals. | Yes. A read-only reporting API for visibility, tracking, responses, outreach, content and history data.[5]Wellows documents the API as in beta, with limited endpoints, and says not every field in the app is available through it. |
| MCP server | Yes, on every plan[13]Claude and ChatGPT connect on any plan. Other clients, such as Cursor, VS Code and Claude Code, need an access token, which requires Enterprise. | Not stated[5]No MCP server for the product is described. |
| Free plan or trial | No free plan. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial with the full answer balance and one project. A card is needed to start and nothing is charged until the trial ends.[5]Wellows also offers separate free tools without signup. These are not a free plan. | |
| Link building | ||
| How you buy | Mix: a self-serve marketplace and link plans quoted by sales[15]Navi, the AI agent, can also search the marketplace and order. Third-party publishers publish the placements. | A mix. A self-serve AI visibility platform with an outreach module, plus managed-services retainers where the Wellows team does the work.[9]Wellows has no link marketplace and does not describe itself as a digital PR agency. |
| Publishers | 200,000 media agreements[16]Across every category and country, with filters for country, content language and category. | Not stated[9]No publisher count, network, markets or languages are published. Wellows says it does not buy links from networks. |
| Prices visible without an account | No, a free account shows every price[17]Prices are shown per project, because some sites charge more for certain industries. | Not stated[9]No publisher list or per-placement price is published. Prices for the managed retainers are public. |
| How the vendor charges | Price per placement, plus monthly plans[18]Serpier pays each publisher a separately agreed price and does not publish its markup. Ordering is also possible on the free Light plan. | A fixed monthly retainer per plan, not a price per link. The link count is one limit inside the bundle. Commitments of 3 months give 5% off and 6 months give 10% off.[9]A one-off Visibility Diagnostic costs $2,500 and is credited to the first month if you sign within 14 days. |
| Published prices | UK media from €13, and half cost under €400[17]Prices differ by market and by your project's industry. |
|
| Minimum order | Not stated[19] | Managed services run month to month and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. 3-month and 6-month commitments are optional discounts.[9]The self-serve platform starts at $29 a month after a 7-day trial. |
| Article writing | Included in publications[3]In the cart you choose whether Serpier writes the article or you supply it. Each writing product shows its fee, or Free, before you order. | Not stated[9]Not stated who writes the article behind a link or mention, or whether it costs extra. |
| Time to publish | Not stated[20] | Not stated[9]No publishing time per link or placement is stated. |
| Link guarantee | Homepage placements last 12 months[18]For article placements, Serpier does not state a guarantee period or a replacement if a link disappears. | Not stated[9]No statement on how long a placed link stays or what happens if it disappears. Wellows says separately that it does not guarantee rankings or citations and commits only to the work volume in the plan. |
| Checks after publishing | Yes[21]The Publication Tracker checks that each link stays live, indexed and as ordered, and that the article is unchanged. Live pages every 30 days, offline pages every 7 days. Up to 10 publications on Light, 500 on Starter, 2,000 on Growth and a custom number on Enterprise. | Not stated[9]No statement that placed links are re-checked for staying live. A placement log is listed as an output. |
| Publisher metrics shown | Price, Domain Rating (DR), organic traffic, referring domains, relevance score, country, content language and category[8] | Domain Authority and a projected citation gain (+N) are shown for each outreach target.[5]No traffic metric is stated. |
| Measures AI visibility | Yes, on Starter, Growth and Enterprise[6]Light has no AI visibility tracking. | Yes. Core product: tracks how often the brand and its competitors are cited across 5 AI assistants.[5] |
| Placements sold for AI visibility | AI Publication: an article with no links or only nofollow links, for brand mentions that AI assistants pick up[8]Writing options for it include Brand mention, PR Post and Co-citation. | Sold as "Links + mentions" placed on URLs AI assistants already cite, delivered inside the managed-services retainers.[9]No separate product name and no per-item price is published. |
| Order by API | Partly[12]On Enterprise you can search the Marketplace through the API. The API reference lists no endpoint for placing orders. | No. The Wellows API is read-only reporting and no ordering through an API is described.[5] |
| Order from an AI assistant (MCP) | Yes[22]The MCP server can search the Marketplace, change the cart, place an order and read the Publication Tracker. Claude connects on any plan. ChatGPT cannot place orders, and other clients need Enterprise. | Not stated[5]No ordering through an MCP server is described. |
| Refunds | No refunds unless agreed. If a publisher fails to deliver, Serpier may give an account credit.[15]A placement that a publisher declines is refunded, with suggested replacement sites. Subscription payments are non-refundable. | Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Pro-rata refunds of prepaid subscription amounts are only at Wellows' sole discretion.[23]From terms last updated 2025-04-23. Cancelling during the 7-day trial ends it with no charge. |
| Other features | ||
| SEO performance tracking | Yes[24]Included on Starter, Growth and Enterprise. SEO Performance tracks rankings in Google, Yahoo or Baidu, on desktop and mobile, daily, weekly or monthly. With Search Console connected it also flags keywords losing clicks, low click-through rates and pages competing for the same query. | Yes[25]Via a Google Search Console integration; no separate rank tracker found. |
| Task board and AI agent | Yes[26]Navi can quote an order, draft a change to your site, draft an email to a publisher about a link fix, or research. Nothing is bought or changed on your site until you approve. | Partly[27]This is the 30 Day Gameplan action checklist that the user ticks off; no AI agent that takes the tasks was found (KIVA is a writing agent). |
| Scheduled automations | Yes[28]Schedules: every hour, day, week or month, or a custom cron. | No[27]Only scheduled prompt scans (daily or weekly) exist, which do not count; no scheduled reports or agent runs. |
| Data, contracts and switching | ||
| How answers are collected | Not stated[6] | Through each assistant's public web interface, logged out, with web search on, instead of through vendor APIs.[29] |
| Countries and languages | Unlimited countries, all languages[3]Countries are not included on Light. Location and language are set per project. | Country: yes, chosen per project, more can be added, not limited by plan. Prompt language: not stated.[5]Each country has its own competitors and results and uses its own answers from the monthly balance. |
| Data export | Partly[21]Growth and Enterprise can download the Publication Tracker (link monitoring) table as CSV. Serpier does not describe an export of AI visibility or SEO data. | Yes. Most tables can be exported, and Performance History exports to Excel, CSV and Markdown.[5]Exports are listed as included on every plan. |
| Data hosting and DPA | Hosted in the EU[30]Serpier says all data is processed and stored on European infrastructure. It does not state whether customers can sign a data processing agreement. | Hosting location and a data processing agreement are not stated. Personal data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses.[31]Wellows' privacy policy also says insights from data of connected domains may be used to train AI models. |
| Company | ||
| Headquarters | Denmark[32]Headquarters in Aarhus. The company is Serpier ApS. | United Arab Emirates[33]Dubai Silicon Oasis. The operator is WEBAFFINITI-FZCO. |
| Founded | 2024[32] | 2011[34]This is the year of the company behind Wellows, then trading as Webaffinity. The Wellows AI product is newer: Wellows says its AI SEO agent was completed in October 2024. |
How to switch from Wellows to Serpier
- Export what you need from Wellows before you end your plan. Wellows says: "Yes. Most tables can be exported, and Performance History exports to Excel, CSV and Markdown."
- Start Serpier with the free trial. Serpier Starter has a 7-day free trial, card required. Wellows counts AI answers and Serpier counts prompts, so list your prompts first and add them to a Serpier project with the same countries. Serpier Starter tracks up to 100 prompts in ChatGPT plus 2 of your choice.
- Run both for a few weeks before you cancel. Wellows runs prompts daily or weekly, set per project, and Serpier Starter runs them weekly, so compare weekly figures.
- If you use a Wellows retainer, check the notice period. Wellows says: "Managed services run month to month and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. 3-month and 6-month commitments are optional discounts."

Method and what each row means
We read each company's own website: its pricing page, docs, help center, terms and announcements. Review sites, directories and articles about a company are never a source. Every value links to its source, with the date we checked it. Serpier's facts follow the same rule and come from Serpier's own website.
Prices are per month and exclude VAT, in the currency the company publishes. A price in another currency is also shown in EUR, at the ECB reference rate of 26 October 2026. Some companies show other prices or currencies depending on where the visitor is, so the page says which visitor the prices were shown to.
The shared units use one plan for each company: the entry plan we name for it, shown in its box above. If we name none, we use the cheapest plan with a published price above zero that tracks prompts. Only plans sold by the month count, at the monthly billing price when there is one. When the entry plan is an add-on, its price includes the plan it needs, because an add-on cannot be bought alone. Price per tracked prompt a month is the price ÷ prompts. Price per 1,000 AI answers a month is the price ÷ (prompts × assistants × runs a month) × 1,000, where a daily run counts as 30 runs a month and a weekly run as 4.33. When an input is not published, the page says Not enough public data instead of guessing.
Each value in the table is one of these, or the number or words the company uses:
- Yes:
- the company's own pages say the product has it.
- No:
- the company's own pages say it is not offered, or a complete plan table leaves it out.
- Partly:
- offered with a limit, written next to the value.
- Not stated:
- we could not find it on the company's own pages. It does not mean No.
- Not public:
- the company does not publish it, for example a price behind Contact sales.
